If you live in Bossier, Louisiana or one of the surrounding areas (eg: Shreveport) and are interested in learning to play guitar, then consider taking lessons from me personally! I will go over every little detail with you with step by step teaching. My personal cell phone is always open for students to call me if they need help understanding something outside of lessons.

Background
Before I ever began learning to play guitar, I had always had a big connection with many styles of music. I was obsessed with it. Instead of being just another person who walked around saying “I wish I could play guitar”, I took action and went into it full force. I was self-taught for 6 months in my mid-teens before being taught by Jerry Beach, whom was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 1998. I have been writing and recording music ever since. In addition to learning the beginners basics such as the parts of your guitar, how to adjust it, tuning your guitar, changing the strings, basic open chords and scales – You will also learn:

How to learn songs by ear. (yes you can do it!) It just takes some ear training.
How chords are constructed.
How to read tablature.
How to play lead guitar – technique, exercises, etc.
How to play rhythm guitar – technique, exercises, etc.

My primary styles of music are electric blues, rock, soul, folk/acoustic and country.  I do not do metal or “heavy” stuff.

Ages 10 and up
$70 per month gives you one 45 minute lesson per week. Every time you have a lesson, you will leave with something to practice on for a week until your next lesson.

Things you’ll need to start lessons
Guitar – Acoustic or electric – Acoustic is perferred (for reasons I will explain once I meet you) – I do have guitars you can use at lessons if for some reason you can’t bring yours.
